12 signs that your WordPress site is hacked

Hey TRUNG,

I have some bad news: website hacks are getting worst.

Often beginners don't even know that someone has hacked their website because it's done in such a sneaky way.

Over the years, I have built a checklist of common signs to detect if a website has been hacked.

I strongly recommend you to use this at least twice a year or whenever you notice something unexpected.

Here are the 12 signs that indicate your website is hacked (and how to fix it).

New WordPress Guides on WPBeginner:

- One of the easiest ways to speed up your site is to minify JS and CSS files. I am using this technique on WPBeginner. Here's a step-by-step tutorial that you can use to speed up your website too.

- Need to embed a map in your contact form? Here's a quick tutorial that shows you how to do that, and you can even drop location pins and more.

- Want to accept recurring payments in WordPress? Here are four methods that you can use depending on our use case.

- Are you running into the 521 error in WordPress? My team wrote a detailed troubleshooting guide on how to fix that. This one might be worth bookmarking for future.

- In case you missed it, I shared the insider info of what's coming in WordPress 6.0 along with features and screenshot.

Have a great rest of your week :)

Cheers,
