How I cleaned up a WordPress security hack (step by step)

Hey TRUNG,

Did you know that an average website is attacked 44 times every day?

Recently, one of my friend's website got hacked due to an outdated plugin.

He removed the plugin and thought everything was fixed ... but the hack came back again.

That's because the hackers had installed a backdoor.

It essentially allows them to regain access even after you find and remove the exploited plugin or vulnerability.

So I helped him clean up his website by finding and removing the backdoor.

After that, we created a step-by-step guide on how to find a backdoor in a hacked WordPress site and fix it for anyone else who ever runs into the issue.

I also included resources for security best practices that you should be following along with some security hardening tips as well.
