12 WordPress RSS Pro Tips + the Google troubles 🤔

Hey TRUNG,

This week has been full of surprises, and I have a lot to tell you about.

From Google's troubles, to Facebook's name change, and the Pro tips I shared on WPBeginner, this week has been full of excitement.

And trust me, you want to pay attention to what's going on because it may impact your business.

Before we jump into my analysis of the tech giants, let's cover what happened in the WPBeginner world first.

RSS Pro Tips that You Should Implement

Every WordPress site has a RSS feed, and this can be a really powerful tool to help you automate aspects of your site.

Such as automatically send newsletters, post to social media, etc.

Unfortunately, it's also a tool that people use to steal your content.

So to help you maximize the benefits, I have shared 12 pro tips to optimize your WordPress RSS feed.

Some of these are fairly easy to implement like #1 and #2.

Also I've been testing #1 on some of my websites and it's actually helping me get higher rankings in Google :D

The 3 Million Celebration

My WordPress plugin, All in One SEO, passed 3 million active installs.

I shared a quick background story in a Twitter thread.

It talks about how we completely revamped the plugin, and have made it to be best WordPress SEO plugin.

Slowly all of our sites are switching to using AIOSEO. Recently just migrated MonsterInsights plugin site to AIOSEO.

WPBeginner is next along with our upcoming website theme redesign.

I highly recommend using AIOSEO if you want to outrank your competitors.

My Analysis on the Tech Giants (Google and Facebook)

Google is in a lot of trouble with the antitrust lawsuit. The details were released, and as predicted they were gaming the AMP system to their benefit.

Here's a viral Twitter thread that covered it all.

I was never a fan of Google AMP because I think it lowers your conversions and causes you to lose out on revenue.

And now this lawsuit against Google is showing that. If you're using AMP, then here's a tutorial on how to properly disable Google AMP in WordPress.

This will help boost your engagement and conversions.

On the other end, Facebook changed their name to Meta.

That's a super interesting move as they look to bring the Metaverse to life.

There's no action-needed for your business right now, but I highly recommend paying close attention to this trend.

We're going to see another big change in how people shop online in the coming years through virtual reality / augmented reality devices.

I know I'm closely watching in excitement. Will be ordering several AR tools to see how we can build WordPress tools around that.

Anyways, going to end the email here. Today is my son Solomon's birthday party -- he turned 5 (time flies).

Have a great rest of your week :)

Cheers,
